Gimik
Turns “we should do that sometime” into a date on the calendar.
Gimik is a mobile app for the plans people keep meaning to make. People keep a list of things they want to do, see which friends already want the same, and turn one into a plan by giving it a date. It launched in the Philippines on Android, with iPhone to follow.

Shows who already wants the same
Each person keeps a private list of somedays, picked from the catalogue or written themselves. Gimik shows which friends kept the same one, so the ask starts from “you already do” instead of “would you ever”.
A date is the whole product
Giving a someday a day, a place and the people who said yes turns it into a plan. Locked plans sort soonest first and can be unlocked if life moves, and unanswered invites expire after a week.
Threads that live with the plan
Every plan, group and friendship has its own thread, delivered in real time, and a date can be proposed from inside the conversation. Nothing about Friday sits three weeks up a group chat.
Built for the Philippines first
The app speaks Cebuano, Filipino and English and launches in Cebu, Quezon City, Taguig, Makati and Davao. It is free to use, with an optional Gimik Plus subscription for groups, more invites and live place search.
